Olive finca
Our olive finca consists of around 1,500 olive trees of the predominant varieties Arbequina, Picual and Arbosana. The spectrum is rounded off by the varieties Hojiblanca, Pico Limon and Picudo. The cultivation takes place according to high ecological standards in our Refugio del Mar, which covers a fenced area of 8 hectares. Our three modern and exclusive holiday homes Villa Palomar, Villa Pura Vida and Villa Perla del Mar are each surrounded by the picturesque olive finca. Our oil mill is also located in the Refugio del Mar, so the routes for further processing of the olives are very short, which benefits both the quality and the environment. The vast majority of our olive trees are still relatively young at around four years old and therefore our olive oil production is currently still low. However, this will change in the next few years as production is expected to increase exponentially.
Olive oil production
In our oil manufactory, we produce high-quality, organic ‘extra virgin’ olive oil by cold pressing from our own olive groves according to the latest standards. In our oil factory, we produce our olive oil with the Oliomio Profy 200 oil mill from Mori-Tem (Tuscany/Italy), which enables the highest standards in olive oil production. Sustainability characterises our entire value chain: cultivation and care of the olive trees according to ecological standards, minimisation of CO2 emissions through very short distances from the finca to the oil mill (so-called ‘zero-kilometre approach’), own generation of electricity by means of a 40 KWp photovoltaic system to operate the tools and the oil mill as well as composting of the residues from olive oil production and fertilisation of the olive trees to complete the sustainable cycle.
